Rose Photos are more or less cliches but I still click a few every year, sometimes post them, sometimes don't. One such here.

Roses are beginning to recover here after the rather unusually hot summer most of us have seen this year.

ND300s, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor, F/16, 1/80, ISO400, Morning Light diffused with a diffuser and Tripod.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Osteospermum 2 and do let me know what you think of this one.

Gorgeous light creating the glow deep within the spiraling petals. You obviously put alot of thought into setting up this shot making sure the camera sensor was parallel to the plane of the rose as this is very sharp over a large area for a single exposure.

Oh...that's good. The creamy outside and slow transition to sherbert orange is perfect. So too the flawless petals winding tighter and spinning faster towards the center. DOF works . no nits.

Pristine rose, wonderful presentation. Its seems fragile and breakable, like fine china. :toast:

Not a cliche when they turn out this well. I like the spiraling transition from very pale orange to the darker orange. Great lighting and well composed.

The orange color and soft lighting are gorgeous. The tightening spiral of petals makes a very dynamic picture. It may be a cliche, but it's still beautiful.

The comp and light make this one shine, Ram. Love the soft color, too.

Really excellent. The creamy-ness of the petals is wonderful Ram. The light is excellent too. Very, very nice.

A fabulous image! Stunning colors, and I love your composition. Though roses may be cliche, I've not seen an image like this before, a very beautiful take.

Gorgeous, Ram. The comp and form are excellent, but its the light/glow that elevates this one. :toast:

The soft feel to this photo is wonderful, as well as the colors. The flow of the petals draws the eye into the center of the rose.

Exquisite. You make this look easy. Not so! The hunt for the "right" rose, all pristine like this one, is just the first difficulty, not the only one. Lighting, comp, dof, pov... you know the checklist... All done to perfection, here.

Gorgeous colour, Ram and a real clarity and sharpness about the centre which makes this especially lovely. Beautifully composed as ever.

Ram: Your rose swirls are certainly not cliche for me. Gorgeous color and a classic comp for a reason. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

From the thumbnail I thought this looked like a weather pattern (watching too much on the news about the tropical storms, I think!). Rose images may be cliche, but they are beautiful nonetheless. This one is beyond outstanding, Ram. The color really makes this one stand out for me. I don't know what the rest of the flower looked like, but I am really drawn to the left side. It might not have worked, but I wish I could have seen the more on that side since the petals are pointing me that way. That being said, I'd love to have this in my portfolio any day! :toast:
