Limestone Light

A single lone tree surviving amongst the limestone on the moors above Malham in Yorkshire, UK.

Don't let the warm light fool you, there was a freezing wind cutting through me when I took this back in february.

All comments, good or bad are welcome and thanks for looking.

Gary.

The warm lighting does, indeed, trick the brain into thinking this is a warm place. But then I notice the small patches of snow dispersed thorughout the open area and reality sets in. Very nicely composed and captured. Great palette of colors. Looks like this place would be difficult to walk across.

I just love it. Mood, detail and traces of snow on the ground and perfect rule of thirds. . :toast:

It does look pretty summery. Great light and the tree makes a terrific and photogenic focal point.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I appreciate it.

Peter, this terrain is difficult to walk across. This photo shows a bit more of the limestone.
