Such a good comp, and I like the semi-pano crop. The blur helps place the emphasis solely on the front bloom. Wonderful color and light as well. :toast:

Very Gorgeous!! This is my kind of photography! I love the DOF chosen. The center of the flower has sharp details and I love the way it softens towards the edges of the petals.

The composition is well thought out and interesting.

The lighting is great and has produced marvelous colour and detail, throughout the image.

I love the way the purple tones, pop from the green background.

Very nicely seen and taken. :) Thanks for sharing!

A wonderful image, Ian! I love the colors, the depth of field, and the flower in the background is just perfect. I echo Stephen in saying that the thing that really strikes me about this photograph is the soft petals and how much they contrast with the sharp center. :toast:

Wonderful, colorful cosmos Ian. I have not seen this variety before. Nice echoing of the shape in the BG. Very nicely done.

Can't add much that hasn't already been said :). The sharp middle really stands out against the softer petals. I like the double flower effect, accentuated by the narrow crop. Well done.

I join the chorus of cheers. Much like the portrait technique using a mirror to show a glance or different pov on the subject...the same effect launches this forward as a storyline about its beauty.

Ian - This is wonderful. Love this Cosmos variety with pink outlines on the petals. Great work focussing on the center of the Cosmos on the left and leaving rest of the frame soft. I like the echo effect too.

Delightful - great colours, perfect DOF, love the detail in the center. I think I'd prefer a tad more room at top -

Ian

Really fabulous :toast:. I like everything about the comp. Just a minor suggestion for consideration is perhaps a small rotation of about 10 deg so that the echo is on a slightly different level to the front bloom if that is possible.
