I thought this composition lent itself to a b&w conversion rather nicely. I'm still playing around with the processing on this one so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. As always, thanks for looking.

The large view really shows this off much better Nancy, I dont work with B&W alot, when I do, I convert them in channel mixer, for me, it does the best job. I like the comp and tones, but I might take down the highlites a bit. Hopefully someone moor familiar with B&W can give you better suggestions. Nicely done.

Nice conversion with a nice range of tones. An interesting subject and a good comp.

hmmm. I just processed a buch of B&W hooddo shots, so i have some thoughts
First, it looks like the one rock, and possibly a few other spots, is OOF. That's not helpful.
Second, i think the sky has to either be very dark or very light (if very dark obviously the fg shadows will have to be brought out); the grey just isnt working here.
Third, and this is the tough one cause id need to really play with it to demonstrate (feel free to send me the file if interested) but it looks too 'posterized' to me. By that i mean it looks like a three tone image--white/black/grey. I think there need to be more mid tone range with just a bit of high and low end. Again, send me a file if you want me to illustrate. I think there's potential here.
