A backlit Monarch on a Butterfly Bush. If you look closely, you can see a shadow of a backlit blossom on the Monarch's wings. Image cropped about 20% from the original. D700, 180 macro, iso 800, 1/1000, f8. Larger image included. Comments, questions, suggestions welcome. :wavey:

Really nice contrast of colors in this. The pattern from the shadow adds a really cool effect as well. Nicely done!

The shadows on the wings are really cool. You've also got a fine collection of colors with the BF, the flower and the background. Lovely image.

Sharp where it counts, with the overall softness most fitting of her majesty :smile:
The B-bush really makes the shot here with its wonderful contrasting color, it makes a great perch Scott.
