Time for a Haircut

Time for a Haircut, October 1st 2010

This bushy bee, looked ready to charge me!!

Minor brightness and contrast, in PS

Panasonic DMC-TZ3
Focal Length 42mm
Shutter Speed 1/100 sec
Aperture f/4.9
ISO/Film 100

I was asked to post the camera settings, for my photos. I could not afford an expensive camera body and macro equipment, so I built an attachment for my camera, that included cardboard tubing and lots of duct tape. The above settings, may or may not make any sense since the attachment changes just about everything. :)

Your home-made extension tubes (I'm assuming) clearly worked! Good photography has much less to do with equipment and more to do with a good eye and good technique - and you have both - as well as ingenuity.
Like this a lot - great flower colours, and detail in the bee. I'd personally prefer a bit more room all around.
Really nice image!

Excellent perspective, details, and color. The bee is perfectly rendered on the flower and against the nice bg. Really good bee macro image. :toast:

Sweet image Stephen. You caught the feel of a bee's dedication.
