I never get tired of watching sunrises and sunsets. This sunrise was taken in St. Joseph Bay, near Cape San Blas, Florida. I loved the pink hues.

Larger version for greater details.

Beautiful! The color and feel are both wonderful. I never tire of them either, Bill. This one shows so well why we don't. :toast:

Lovely, quiet mood to this, the way dawn often feels when there's no wind! Beautiful.

WOW, love the soft pastel light here, Bill. Thanks for the larger version too, it was great for viewing the finer details. I think the two FG objects on either side kind of balances that area. Might be worth a look see without them in the scene, just a thought, definitely not a nit.....

Spent a lot of time in that part of the world (on the Appalachicola, all the way to Blountstown). A different part of Florida, not overrun by tourists. A lovely shot, Bill. The sharpening is pushing the limit, though. A little softer would fit the mood nicely, at least for me.

Thanks for the comments so far. Philip, I think you're righ on the sharpening - I'm a threat to oversharpen sometimes. :frown:

Beautiful colors, Bill. I like the way all the lines work in the same direction.

There is a wonderful peacefulness about this Bill. Only suggestion might be to brighten the sky to match the reflection.

Neat shot Bill. Its very calm and serene. I think the marsh group on the left has a bit too much details. I think it would be better with that being a bit more darker. Some simple burn in PS should do.

Bill,

Peace and Quiet - that's what comes to mind. The silence, with just a hint of chirping birds, crickets or frogs, this just oozes contentment.

Bill.

Maybe it is just me, but the horizon on the left looks titled CW. Love the light and warm tones

Bill, fabulous colors and peaceful feel. I agree with Phil that this might be a bit too sharp. You're making me miss my native state with images like this.

Bill, your image conveys the atmosphere of this serene scene wonderfully to me. A fine balanced composition for me. Viewing on my monitor, sharpness is spot on in my opinion and lets me enjoy all the delightful details especially in the foreground.

Maybe matching the brightness of the sky and the reflection is worth considering. But this might be purely a matter of opinion.

Sorry it's taken me so long to repair and repost. Hopefully this is a significant improvement. I brightened the sky and reined in the sharpening somewhat.
