It's just sick that I can shoot these and be home drinking a beer 45 minutes later. :) This is the part of living in central Colorado that is my favorite. 5DMII 60-200 f36 @ 20sec

Wonderful 3D character to this Michael. It also has some wonderful abstract qualities.

Indeed, the yellow just pops against the black. Love it.

Very nice. A simple, deep, colorful scene to make one stop and give it multiple looks! I also like the black background, or shaded area in the back, that adds contrast. I do have to ask the million dollar question... When was this taken? Because if it was taken recently, I will immediately go wild in anticipation of laying my eyes on a golden tree, as any normal photographer would who lives in CO... :jump:

Very good aspen shot! This is a nice 3d effect, and that's quite amazing to get with a zoom lens.

Classic Michael! and beautifully captured. I think I detect a little bit of magenta in some of the trunks, but that's minor. Wonder aspen bole image.

I'm so sorry your suffering so badly now in CO.

Beautiful light on those leaves. The contrast of dark trunks and bright leaves is very striking. Excellent photo Michael.

Really liking this one, Michael. I'd say caught in the best of overall light to provide this excellent capture here.

Looks awesome. The composition is great, I like how the trees are placed. This one does seem to have a special look to it - is that purely due to the light, or is there some post-processing magic involved to get there?

Basil,

Thanks! Just shot in very low light, and lowered the brightness, upped the contrast.
