Nikon D300, 150mm,20mm ext tube F/14, 1/6sec, ISO 400.
The light and form of this yellow english rose intrigued me, especially the curves of the filaments, hope you enjoy it. Comments appreciated.

Albert - Very moody frame with the subdued lighting in the center with the bright backlit petals in the background. Would not mind a bit more space on the left.

I like the light shining through the petals! I agree with Ram on wanting a little more space at the left...and perhaps the bottom even.

Albert:
A very good idea with the backlighting to show the luminescence of the petal especially the vein pattern. Might benefit from a slight amount of fill. Too bad the lower petal is a little torn.

Albert, shades and lights create a a fascinating atmosphere where the stamens twist in all directions. I love it.
Cheers.

Strong, dynamic composition, Albert, with striking backlighting ! Yes, maybe a touch more room to the L might be good, but this is an image which hits you in the eye straightaway !

Lovely luminescence from the backlighting. The English yellow colored roses seem to hold their color best among the yellow roses. I agree with more room on the left. Perhaps a square crop, if yo have the canvas for it.
