Dahlia Abstract-5

Another one from the Dahlia Series - back to abstracts. The Dahlia that I use for making Abstracts has survived and is blooming very well now.

ND300s, AFS60mm F/2.8 Micronikkor @ F/5.6, 1/400 Sec, ISO400, Handheld and Diffuser.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Dahlia-4 and let me know what you think of this one.

Another beautiful abstract, Ram. Each one is a pleasure to look. In fact, I went back through your gallery looking at the many gorgeous abstracts in your gallery. As for this one, I love the lines, light, and color. Personally, I might crop a little off the top, maybe about 10%, to reduce the darker space at the top, but, on the other hand, I do like the layers in the top right corner, including the uppermost pink layer. :toast:

I think this one is my favorite of the Dahlias so far! I like the waterfall flow to the petals and the soft variation in color.

Ram:
Without reading Scott's comment, I also find I like this more with a crop off the top. Otherwise its your classical top notch abstract.

Scott and Gary - Thanks for the feedback. Your crop suggestion has tons of merit and the print of this will have that crop. Is'nt a dozen pairs of Eyes better than one :wavey: ?

Beautiful, very soft and pastel with great lines. I glanced back at your recent abstracts and all are beautiful with a fluid feel to them

Ram, I am fascinated by the harmony of the colors. The delicacy of your colors has a trademark. Beautiful.
Cheers.

It's almost impossible to make choices between these dahlia images, Ram ! I can't myself see anything here I would want to change - the rhythms of the petal edges give a sense of depth which is very, very nice !!

Good as is, for me. A stellar example of your dahlia abstracts. The lines on this one are what makes this so attractive to me.

This is beautiful, Ram--I love the colors, the flow, and the perfect depth of field. I agree about the crop comments, as you mentioned. Fabulous! :toast:
