Looking Out My Back Door

OK, not literally (but, I actually do have aspens in the yard), but about a 10 mile drive from the house. For someone who spent 18 years in Dallas and 8 years in Raleigh, this is insane. :)

This is beautiful! I love the warmly lit foliage behind the aspen trunks. Wonderfully composed.

Beautiful background for the white trunks of these aspens which really makes them stand out. It seems to add some pretty good depth to the photo also. Real nice image Michael.

The BG foliage and the lighting being cast upon it really helps define and outline the FG aspen tree trunks. Great to see this fine tree grouping without tree trunk graffiti etched into it also.

Michael, I appreciate the way you anchore the image firmly by the structure of the white trunks together with the darker ones in the depth. This balances the wild glow of the foliage wonderfully to my eye.

This is stunning Michael. Beautiful colors and composition. I really like the strong vertical lines created by the aspen trunks.

Though this has a lot in common with your other shot, I prefer the consistency of this image a bit more. My eye is definitely drawn to the left side first, then I take the time to explore the rest of the image. It's so great that you can find such a sweet subject so close to home.

Beautiful Michael. I wish I had something like this to view out my backdoor (or within 10 miles!)

Michael, I like this image best of your aspen series so far. I like the unsymmetrical patttern of larger and smaller diameter boles you have included against the fiery background leaves.
