Pygmy Filefish

What an interesting little fish, Charles! I love its camouflage! Very well captured. I think a tighter crop could work well, the OOF piece of white coral is a bit distracting to me.

You're picture shows off the camo very nicely. I like the additional bit of coral upper left, it adds interest that I don't think would be there if you only had the fish on the matching coral, but find myself wishing it was in focus.

Good environmental image. Good detail where it counts. As mentioned, the oof coral is a bit of a distraction but the rest of this image is very nice.

Excellent, Chalres. The capture of the fish camouflaged against the coral is both interesting and artistic. As an alternate image, I like to see this cropped roughed down the middle (eliminating the left side, of course, and the rotated 90 degrees cw. This would tighten the comp and eliminate the oof coral. Just a suggestion. Thanks for posting this interesting, cute and artistic image showing the behavior of the Filefish.

I appreciate all of your thoughtful comments very much. Thank you ! I'm trying different cropping options, but I'm having a difficult time maintaining a 3:2 aspect ratio without including too much of the dead space on the right edge of the frame.

Another nice view with a different perspective. I think this view still shows the camouflage quite well. Good detail in the eye. The lighting on this one looks a little less natural but still quite good.
