I was in GNP last month for the first but not last time. What a beautiful park. I met up with Alex Noriega and Dave DuBois and snapped a few images and tipped a brew as well. I wish there would be 2 sunrises and sunsets per day.
The rain came in and left this haze. It was taken during the full light but you have to work with what God gives you.
Shot with Canon 5D3 / 45mm /iso100 / f14 / 1/25 sec
Single image
I'm always looking to improve so I welcome your thoughts.
Thanks
G

Great layers to this vista. My only suggestion would be to crop from the left to eliminate the stone wall. Would make a lovely print.

I love the scene and how you composed it. Very beautiful stuff. For the time of day this seems quite dark. I think you could lighten it in raw before openning and you'd get more detail in the darkest areas as well as a better overall feel.

Very nice layered image. The composition works very well. I just came back from a trip west and any place west of the Sierras had a haze because of all the fires in the west.

Thanks for comments. Patricia- It never ceases to amaze me how long you can look at an image and not see everything. Good call on the wall. Peter - I adjusted it to lighten the FG and there is a lot of detail there. I thought it distracts from the layering. I will look again. Richard - the haze gives a full on daylight shot some interest.
Thanks all for the comments

The haze makes for some wonderful layering and the curve is almost sensual. Almost wish for a bit more light on the trees.
