Canon 50D f8.0 1/500 500mm 20.7m

There were four Tocans attracted by a bird feeder at the lodge in the Pantanal region of Brazil where we were staying. This shot had the best background. Comments always welcome.

WOW, talk about great timing!! I love the background in this one! The toucans beaks seem to "pop". You did a great job making it look like they weren't at a birdfeeder!

I wish these guys were in Alberta...

Vibrant colors and good timing. Nice sharpness on both birds. Perhaps a little tight on the tail of the bird on the left.

Great color and detail. You caught the action very well of the bird eating the berry. Well captured.

Good job getting both birds sharp Phillip, you gotta love those colors. Nice details and you've captured a nice moment here, I only wish for a little more of a head turn on the LH bird.

Absolutely love the action from the bird on the left. Strong comp and beautiful colors. I do wish for a bit more room on the left, but that is pretty minor.

Beautiful birds in great poses - especially the one tossing the berry.
A tough exposure with black against the bright colours; you've lost a lot of detail in the blacks, but it could be recovered with a program like Nik's Viveza.
Fine image!

Both birds in and the open beak action makes it a winner.
Well exposed with good details, you can't go wrong with such a colorful pair :toast:

I think getting both birds sharp was key here. Well done.

The action and the colors are just gravy.

What's better than one Toucan? Two! A little tight in the lower left corner - but the action of the one bird makes up for it. Beautiful image

Cool shot Philip. First of all, like the two birds, and secondly like that the one bird has a seed in mid-air between its bill.
