In good Company
by Miro Susta
This photo shows an Airbus A 320-214 airplane of Swiss Edelweiss Air in company of Patrouille Suisse F-5E Tiger airplanes.
The Patrouille Suisse is an aerobatic team of the Swiss Air Force. The team flies six Northrop F-5E Tiger II fighter/bomber jets. The name was taken from the name of the French Patrouille de France.
The performances remained confined to Switzerland due to its strict neutrality.
This changed in 1978 when the team travelled to Salon-de-Provence by invitation of the French, with six aircrafts.
In 1991, the team changed the paint scheme to incorporate the Swiss flag colors (red and white) and the logo for the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation.
Edelweiss Air is a charter airline operating mainly out of Zurich Airport, with a smaller base at Geneva International Airport. The company's name derives from the Swiss unofficial national flower, the Edelweiss, which is also painted on the airplanes.

TFS this one & have a great weekend!
