Crisp and Clean

This is a very 'sunny' photo. Sometimes this is hard to put forth without a lot of texture from shadows.
Interested on comments about this one within those parameters and anything else that comes to mind.
In remote areas sometimes you are where you are and won't ever be there again. Better lighting might the a call but time is not.
Nikon D700. CaptureOne raw processing with Nikon CaptureNX2 finish.
Location: Matthews River, south slope of the Brooks Range, AK

Very pretty scene. The color of the sky looks a bit off to me.

Brad, if you have never been far north the sky almost looks blackish-blue sometimes. The low humidity allows for clear pics and dark skies. Note the clarity of the distant mountain.

I think this color is representative. If you have other ideas about the northern sky I would like to hear them.

I don't remember all the adjustments but edge lighting falloff is one I use routinely to keep the edges of the photo from being slightly darker. So this would have actually lightened the edges slightly.

Thanks for the look and comment.

A pleasant enough shot, Larry. Not overly dramatic, but of course it doesn't have to be, and the comp is solid. The bg looks a bit murky to me--not sure what 'Nikon CaptureNX2' is but maybe it muddied your photo.
