I'm not sure this is the correct gallery to put this in and if not please move to where you think it should go.

We had an old Ponderosa pine taken down, piece by piece, because if was leaning and would likely fall on our house. I shot a lot of the activity over a two day period and thought this one the most interesting. I tried to get this shot with one frame at a time but had to go to sequential to catch the round coming down.

Olympus E-5

f 7.1
ISO200

Yo Charlie, you're lookin' mighty cool up there on that pole! Seriously, nice image of this man doing his dangerous job. Is it always sunny at your place?

Sunny? Not now and not a lot for next 6 months.. We have much the same weather as Northern California, perhaps a bit cooler but dry and sunny all summer long. The north western part of the state gets much more rain than we do. The closest town to us in Grants Pass and they have a sign across the main street which reads, "It's the climate" and this is what we love here. some snow but not much, some above 100 degree summer days but not many.

Nice timing and good interest Charlie.
I've got a couple of oaks that are too near the house that need to come out..
Not sure I'm "up" for it though
Well done :wavey:

It fits fine here. Pretty amazing how they can take a tree down piece by piece.
