Lady In Waiting

A Blue Morpho (I think) at the Cockrell Butterfly Center in Houston.

Focal Length: 100mm macro
Aperture: f/7.1
Shutter Speed: 1/15
ISO: 640

I attribute any softness to being handheld. I probably should have boosted the ISO a bit. Please let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

Tim,
Great colors and wing patterns on this beauty, I think the details are good. I especially like the way the leaf the BF is perched upon accents the composition, very unique look to it, Well Done. :toast:

Getting those wings flat on, the colors are exquisite. Wonderful detail throughout.

Another great catch at Cockrell, Tim. Detail looks plenty good to me. I again like the eye level, semi-head on perspective and the great pose. :toast:

Ecellent detail and colors Tim. If you've cropped from the right, I'd be tempted to leave a little more space in front of the BF for that long antennae, but that's minor - really nice capture!

Tim: Definitely a blue morpho and a pristine one at that. I almost like this view of the wings as much as the top view. Another shot with superb plane of focus management.>=))>
