Scott,
It is a toss-up between this shot and yesterday’s post. I like the diagonal wings and clear eye in this one but I don’t know, They are both outstanding in their own ways. I would however, straighten the water line horizon at the bottom, it is tilted way left. If you can, showing more water at the bottom would add a bit more interest IMO. Well Done.

Splendid image all around, with agreement though, about the blue areas at bottom.

A real pleaser Scott, what an opportunity! I think you've got excellent lighting and good detail on the bird. Pose and fish are added bonuses.
I'd be tempted to make this landscape instead of portrait, showing a bit more water. Also, make sure the water line is horizontal.
All-in-all, SUPER as is...

Scott, always nice to get opportunities like this. Love the bird's position and the fish. Very nice exposure. Agree about needing CW rotation. In the larger image fine detail is lacking suggesting a large crop.

While I agree with the previously mentioned suggestions, I would also say this is a great shot of this eagle with its prey.

Good job on the processing. I agree with Ron on the crop thought. What percentage crop was this?

I would love to have seen and made this image. Great wing position and excellent light. I might loosen the crop a bit and do more noise reduction on the background.

Nice image Scott. I like the water trailing off the fish tail. I also think the image would be just as strong with a slightly looser crop. Well done.

Original 51.3M and crop is 22.7M = 44% of the picture
I don't have room at the bottom -- so straightening the horizon is out -- I tried to take out the water at the bottom and had difficulties -- using content aware leaves a black smudge on the edge -- stamping just did not look right. Thinking I can add some canvas, use content aware then recrop. Would be worth a try anyway. I also had trouble with artifacts where the water touches the wing

Fantastic capture Scott! Love the pose. I would like to see a bit more room around the bird at the bottom as well.

Great action you captured here Scott. I would back off the crop some and rotate it, as well as run some noise reduction on the bg.
