The halo line from blending images is evident.

Brad,

Thank you for your illuminating, insightful, thoughtful response.

Since there is no haloing from the blend, there must be some from the sharpening. Here's an unsharpened version. Otherwise, I don't know how to respond really.

Stunning image. I'm on a small screen but can't see the halo. The mix of colour and graphic mound are great..beautiful work..

You're welcome for my illuminating, insightful, thoughtful response. You seek comments and then didn't provide technical information on the image or what type of feedback you are looking for. I responded as best I could based on a visual examination. The more information you provide, the better feedback you will receive. I now understand why most people don't comment on posts with little or no information provided.

The halo must have been from sharpening as the halo is not in the un-sharpened image. It is very evident in the first image.

When someone pointed out halos in one of my images, I thanked them for it. Sorry if i offended you by the assumption it was from exposure blending. I guess we are here for different reasons.

Reminds me of Glacier NP. Spectacular colors here. Only one very minor nit, seems a tad left heavy. I would still be very proud to call this fine, fine image my own.

Stunning image. I would say that it is well balanced since my eye seems to be drawn to the mountain. I agree with the haloing issue around the mountain, and actually can still see some on the unsharpened version. Assume it's mostly web artifact but would definitely want to hear about it on any image I put "out there". Why else to do it?

Purple sky alert! I love it when the sky goes purple! Here it's a nice contrast with the green peak. Great comp. I like the hint of blue at the base of the falls and wonder if a touch more color could be coaxed out, even thought it is in the shade of the cliff... Looks like there might be more color in the water, too? Anyway, it is very pretty as is and confirms for me that Iceland would be a wonderful trip, if I ever get, or make, the opportunity.

It seems that everyone and their "Grandmother" is going to Iceland these days.

Stunning light and color - It might be worth backing off of the saturation a touch in the brightest highlights in the red channel as it looks a little blown out. Otherwise this is beautiful. Lovely composition with interest throughout the frame.

This just says "Iceland". Even the thumbnail looked like a classic Iceland scene. Great colors and exposure as always.

Good to see a post from you Richard!
Awesome comp, great subject!
To be super picky, I think the light here was working against you. The repost took care of the halo, but it didnt take care of what i see as a bit of a composite look, which came from whatever method you used to control or even out the exposure. The way I see it, the fg was too dark because them light is coming from behind; it's blocked, and you're left with deep shadows--you basically have the 'spotlight' behind the subject. That can work with some comps, but here i see it as a huge challenge. If this was sunset/sunrise--i think sunrise/sunset might have worked better. But overall it's a nice presentation of a super cool location. :wavey:

Richard, the halo line from blending images is "not" evident.

Beautiful composition and blending IMO. I like the balance of elements and fresh perspective. Nice work!
