Loks good in the larger version. Intriguing colors in the setting.

The larger version is the best, certainly. I could do without the OOF stuff behind, but a solid image, nonetheless (I am just jealous of the D800!!).

This crop makes for a very pleasing composition in my opinion. Great bird with nice details, nice autumn color too.

I'm with Richard, I think this is a good looking image, esp in the larger version. Nice detail and reasonable light. I'd be tempted to clip some of the top above the bird, but just my opinion. A fine image and I do the the aspect ratio you've chosen!

Interesting image Sandy. For me, the setting almost steals the show, though in the larger version the detail in the face seems to stand out better.

Looks like some chinese painting (and I mean that as a positive remark ) - normally I would say that the head is a little dark, but in the total atmosphere of the image, if all fits nicely together. Good job ! Hans

Beautiful overall image. I love the intense colors of the background and perch. I might try and coax a little more light into the head area so we can enjoy the detail there. It's clearly sharp and well done. I'm not sure about the comp. I think I like a more traditional ratio.
