Fall Below Mt. Wood

I haven't been posting much lately, but I just renewed my membership and hope to be more active in the future. This is from last week in the Eastern Sierra, with the base of Mount Wood in the background. The first storm of the season dusted the higher elevations with snow a few days earlier, providing a nice addition to the fall colors.
Thanks and comments welcome,
Rudy

Very interesting combination of textures, shapes and colors.
I really like this.
Well done.

Nice mix of colors and textures. The snow looks a bit too cyan/blue and the tree's greens too saturated. Otherwise a fine mix that really show the seasons converging. What a colorful area in the fall. :toast:

A nice autumn scenic,Rudy. I like the textured FG and the central subject being composed
off center. That you set up the FG in a diagonal manner is another attribute. The fall colors
are a real plus and the snow covered mountain reveals two seasonal elements in this image.
I do agree with Harry's critique concerning the snow and tree colors. Nevertheless, I like this.
I look forward to more of your postings.

Really nicely done. Using the mountain as backdrop with no sky emphasizes the layers and textures.

A wonderful mixture of elements to me, Rudy. The last autumn glow complements the cooler shades in an appealing way for me. I also appreciate the foreground textures a lot.

Lots of great textures and layers in this composition. I almost wish the tree wasn't there as it blocks my view of the lovely golden foliage midground. the color issues already mentioned would be my only nit. Nice work.

Nicely composed and I love the FG grass and the mid ground trees, but it does seem to have a strong cyan/blue color cast. Correct that and this will be a sweet shot.
