Potomac Reflection #1

I was roaming the Potomac downstream from Great Falls checking on fall colors when I found this reflection in one of the quiet side arms or the river. Ahhh, the glories of fall. (5D3, 70-200 f2.8 + 1.4 TE @ 280mm, 1/60s, f/8, iso 400, tripod and polarizer)

The large version is spectacular...
Each "ripple" seems to have a life and colors all it's own.
Your abstracts are always interesting,
this may be my favorite.

I have to confess, Mark--i have seen so many fall reflection ripple shots they're all starting to look the same to me. So, yes it's pretty, well composed etc--but without your signature in the corner it's one of about 20,000 on the web. Sorry for being so direct (it's so out-of-character for me  ) I do have one thought--to make it more unique, id crop for a pano of the bottom, which has all the blue sections, the bottom half is far more interesting than the top.

Mark, This is very colorful and interesting. The larger version started to make me go cross-eyed though. Images that are all motion blur without something still and sharp in the image to anchor to do that to me. I like it, but my eyes can't focus on it.

You said it Mark: " Ahhh, the glories of fall. "
Good eye to catch this with the long lens.

I like the abstract...reminds me of one I took up in Catactin Mts of river rocks with water rushing over it. I wonder if I can find it. It's buried somewhere. Love the colors and splashes of blue and white
