D700 does it again.
Difficult photo for me to critique. The eveness of the light could lead to a lot of 'playing' with the photo depending on your thoughts on such stuff.
The rock faces could be contrast/brightened as could the foreground flowers. Would like to see some 'renditions' of such play with this well-composed shot.

Lovely scene. The broad range of gentle colors and great details make this cool scene very inviting. The moon and it's reflection are the icing on the cake.

Beautiful, Bill. I like the foreground, light and calm mood. I'd like to be sitting right here taking in this beautiful scene. To me, the image looks like it's tilted to the right, but no one else has mentioned it and it may just an illusion caused by the far shoreline.

Wow, nice picture! I do have to agree with Scott, it looks like it is slightly tilted to the right. Also, I wonder what a longer exposure would have done with the water. The bit of detail in the water on the left is a tiny bit distracting, which maybe would be gone with a longer exposure. But I'm splitting hairs now, I really like this picture. Well done!

Vibrant... Wow. I'm really enjoying this one. I like how the trees up front jump out in front of the deep blue background. I really can't imagine standing in the middle of a scene like that!

A stunning image. I find the distortion of the moon and it's reflection distracting--enough so, that I'd be in favor of removing them--but the rest of this image is amazing.

The colors are beautiful Bill. I really like the comp with foreground flowers/grass, lake, mountain and sky. My only nit is the over-sized reflection of the moon on the water. I wish the reflection was the same size as the moon in the sky but I'm sure it looks bigger due to the ripples on the surface of the water.

Looks like a beautifull place to just relax for a bit and soak up the wonderful view, Bill. I simply love the greens here along with the reflection in the lake. What do you think about cloning out the moon and it's reflection? The brightness keeps tugging my eye away from all the other wonderful things in this wonderful scene.

What beauty Bill. I love the blue and green this has. I'd be tempted to crop closer to the mountain, and I think the idea to just crop the moon out is a good one.

Lovely colour Bill, sharp and detailed with a nice feeling of quiet to it. I don't think the moon is a distraction.

Thanks for your feedbacks. i agree with you on cloning out the moon. Somehow I wanted to keep him in the image but on the other hand it was also a distraction to me. I will clone it out. thanks for your honest comments.

I think the suggestions about cloning out the moon are good but I would also add a slight crop to the top so there is not so much sky. The background shoreline seems to tip this image to the right but the trees are straight so I think that's an illusion.
Truly a beautiful image Bill with nice calm blue water against the deep green vegetation shoreline. I really like the shape of the tree on the left too. A gorgeous place depicted very well!

I think this is very nice as presented. The green grass and blue water/sky work very nicely together.

This is stunning! Beautiful colors! When I did the Hohtürli hike I passed this lake, but that time I did not have a super-wide angle. I don't know what lens would be wide enough to capture the whole lake with the peaks above it. Maybe works only with panorama.
I guess you used the 16-35 for this?

@ Shantikara Yes, I used the 16-35mm. It's tough to come with a decent comp at this place unless you have a super wide angle. That's another reason why almost all the shots I took there are verticals

Nice! The level of detail and your control of the exposure are fantastic. Two minor things: First, I think I'd crop some part off the top. The sky doesn't add too much to the scene, so I'd crop pretty close to where the ridge meets the image border on the left side. Second, I think the shot looks tilted - even though it may not be in reality. I might try and experiment a bit with rotations to see whether you can get it to look a bit more balanced.
