Autumn leaves glow outside of this short and narrow canyon located in S. Utah. Three exposures blended for optimum dynamic range. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

This is a wonderful image, John. Great comp, beautiful light and color. Love the looks of that center tree in contrast with the bright highlights of the one behind it. The large version is fantastic!...and a treat to view. :toast:

Excellent work with this extreme exposure latitude, John. It all comes together very nicely in the larger version too. Wonderful canyon scene.

The rich, golden sunlight here is something to make me stop in my tracks and get a closer look. Amazing how every tree has a character of its own, and it's fun to look at each bend and twist of their branches, especially in a unique setting such as this. I like the fg context, interesting (both subject-wise and composition wise) middle-ground, and finally the towering canyon walls glowing with warm light. Incredible! If I were to mention anything, it may be that the shadows in the fg are a tad 'muddy' (perhaps it needs more contrast---I'm not sure). I love the glow in this image, and the large version is a bonus!

I just love it when I open up a thumbnail and the image revealed makes my heart ache for it's beauty. The light and colors beyond the cool, shadowed trail does just that. Thanks for sharing.

Large version is great, the blend is flawless from what I can tell. I like how the highlights of the leave in the fg peak from the shadows, and the bg tree in front of that colorful yellow is special.

I really like the composition. The tree in the center is what sets this apart from other canyon shots.

This is exquisite, John. The lighting is fantastic as is the array of color, and that one tree with the graceful curve makes the scene for me. My only suggestion, and this is just a personal preference, would be to tone down the highlights in the yellow leaves just a bit. Even so, this is still a beauty.

This is fantastic. The light on the walls as well as the trees gives a strong 3D feel.

A great scene and well done. I like the darker curved trunk against the sunny cottonwood. There seemes to be a slight blend halo on the left side of the large foreground rock.

Very nice John. You handled the light and blending very well. This is really pretty - beautiful warm coloration, and the yellow tree makes it for me.

Really nicely done, John. My only suggestion would be to work with some of the color cast in the "highlights" in the shadowed section to the lower right. I'm seeing some odd greenish tints there. But the tones and hues in the wall with reflected light are excellent, as is the lit cottonwood. Beautiful.

I like this one a lot, John. I like the dynamic range here with the deep shadows and bright highlights. The bright yellows do seem a little washed out in places but that may just be due to JPEG compression.

John, I think I've seen this before somewhere. Probably on RMNP. For me the main focus of this image is the trees, both foreground and background, therefore I would crop the bottom to bring my eye into those trees even more. This is such a beautiful image with the warm canyon walls and since the trail leads you into the photo you could have 2 images here. Really nice job!
