Rambling today through Hoellental, a valley in Lower Austria, I found these floating leaves in the turqois water.

Silvia, I love the motion of the water here and the swirling leaves really add to it. The turquoise color is inviting and beautiful. Your composition works great! ..I like this!

Hmmm ... the turquoise water is appealing. But the leaves don't add enough interest to the composition in my opinion. Maybe if there had been more leaves, or maybe if you had used a longer shutter speed. What was the shutter speed, by the way?

Lovely water and the contrasting leaves make it even better. Looks like a great to sit and relax.

Wonderful color and subtle motion in the water. Can almost hear the gentle swirl and flow of the water.

Do I see a connection to Peter Richter here? You picked a tough shot here. For one you usually want to expose the water a little longer to get some motion and here you want to keep the shutter speed low to freeze the frames. I guess you managed to find a spot inbetween which works. The composition is well balanced for sure. One technical thing - I don't know which web sharpening technique you use, but it seems as if you shot the image with higher ISO and the sharpening enhanced it. Maybe it's better to use a less aggressive sharpening here.

Love this water shot. The leaves look like little fish and make a pleasing contrast to the turquoise water. I also like the sense of faster running water in the middle. Wonderful shot!
