Locust Glow+Repost
by Peter Coskun
Well, here I go again with the GC images. I am baffled by the amount of keepers I got during that weekend and that I am still going through them. I'm not sure how this one passed me by, because this glow was quite incredible to see in person. So incredible that I almost missed the shot as I stood there in awe. Shooting has been slow the last few weeks, but should get out this following week to work on new images. As always, comments and critiques appreciated.

Patricia, I was very fortunate this summer to visit so many places and have some of the conditions I did. Sure don't take those things for granted, because I have had some long dry spells not producing anything. Hopefully I can continue this trend.
No C&C from me...
Thanks for posting it...
Love it,
nice work Peter!
Nathan, I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you have been able to take notice of my improved processing skills (I have been only doing specific things as trying to perfect them). I'm especially glad that you thoroughly take a look at my work to find whatever flaws there may be.
Tony, I see what you mean with the light. The clouds were fairly dark (especially when using grads) as there were scattered showers within the canyon. The foreground rock I tried to bring out a bit because it had nice light and detail. The light, which was likely reflected off the wall below where I was standing. Everything else is pretty natural in context to my processing here.
Excellent work!
I do like the crop suggestion of taking just a little off the top.
