This was taken a couple years ago in our garden after an early fall snow and freeze. Any critiques would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to see we finally got a posting for this theme. . .I didn't have any that fit to get it going. And this shot fits the theme so well! The beautiful, delicate rose certainly looks depressed and weighed down by the cold snow and ice covering it. I like the way the ice/snow coats the edges of the petals and the icy "crown" on the bottom (now top) of the flower. I think I would crop down to eliminate the partial rose along the top however. Nice find, Scott. (Not so nice for the rose though :frown: )

I really like how the brightness of the ice has "softened" the colors in the flowers. The details in the ice are great and tell me that this was a freezing rain event that ended with a touch of sleet/snow because I see lots of frozen balls with a few snow crystals on top.

Looks good, Scott. This has a nice painterly look to it.
