Fallen Angels

FIELD NOTES: Nature’s gentle touch is omnipresent, even in the concrete jungle that many of us in Silicon Valley call home. Taking a moment from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives to get a second look can often be a rewarding experience.

9 commentsThe leaves seem too perfectly-placed, so I believe a more ramdom spacing would improve this.
A very fine image!
Additional notes: I didn't place the leaves on the concrete, nor did I move/rearrange them. This scene was photographed as found. There were a ton of leaves randomly scattered about that section of the sidewalk. By using a combination of careful observation and moving in very close to cover only a few leaves, I was able to find a composition offering a sense of structured design that seemed attractive to me.

Serendipitous indeed. Great eye to see and catch this. After seeing this for the first time, I've since found myself watching the sidewalk when out walking the dog recently... well done.
