At the beginning of the road the North Lake were these intensely colorful aspen. Eastern Sierra Nevada, CA. See the larger one!

Some really nice layering going on here, and the explosion of color in the background is equally stunning..nice work Chris.

Nicely balanced comp, Chris, and the colors are gorgeous. Well seen and presented.

Exquisite composition, Chris. The subtle diagonals created by the bushes and grass lead the eye gently back to those stunning aspens in all their autumn glory. I might try to slightly reduce the higher values way in the background and of that small beach in the lower right hand corner, only with the intent to minimize any potential distractions to the wonderful color and details of the aspens, conifers, grasses, and brush. Or maybe simply cropping the right hand side to eliminate that little beach. Probably being really nit picky though. Love it.

Beautiful colors. I like the way the bushes form a frame and lead my eyes from the fg reflection to the 'wall' of gold at the base of the cliff.

Beautiful, vibrant colors in the trees. The bushes on both sides funnel the eyes back to the trees. Fine image.

I love it Chris, awesome crisp scene! I think the white highlights are a bit strong--i thought it was snow in the thumb.
Pretty stuff.

Thanks guys, I'll do some burning or something to tone down the brightest highlites.
Vance, I agree with you about that little beach, and tried to do a crop. But it just made things uncomfortably tight on that side. Unfortunately, it's a raod shot, and there is a small bridge that becomes visible if you go any wider there.

Intense and vibrant colors Chris! I agree about the white highlights, but that's really minor. A slight reduction should do the trick. Eye catching image!

Chris,
Beautiful Eastern Sierra autumn scenic. It's too bad the web kills the detail here - even in the larger version the aspen leaves are a little muted together - but I know that's just the web, no doubt this will look great in print.
Already been mentioned, but the only very minor suggestion I have would be a burn of the LRC beach and rock. Other than that, this looks beautiful.

This is a beautiful picture. I love the golden glow of the aspens! The grass also has such a nice look and feel about it. I tried cropping the right side some with a piece of paper but it just didn't work for me. I guess as mentioned burning the lrc will finish this off very nice. Nice work Chris.

Very nice Chris. I think toning down the BG highlights would keep me more focused on the explosion of color. This little slice of Sierra with all the details is great.

Nice color. Were you standing in the water or that little patch dirt on the shore, kind of in the bushes? You did very well, but I think one would have to get wet to get the perfect comp and stay there a while to not ruin the reflection.

This is a lovely, gentle look at fall colors. I especially like the interplay of color between the aspens, their reflections, and the gold and green grasses.

I've stood at this some spot many times. Beautiful scene and you got this with some really nice peak colors. My only suggestion has already been addressed, which is the small section of beach on the right.

Stunning color and wonderful composition Chris. Only minor nit that others have mentioned, it the bright rock on the lower right. Beautiful autumn scene none the less.

These aspen really have their "glow" on. Ditto on a little highlight taming, but not much. The color and the reflection make this one a real beauty. Nice leading comp as well. Very well done.

This is really nice with the rock face in the background to create a more intimate setting than the sky. Very nicely composed collection of elements.
