Roxborough State Park, just outside Denver. This was a rainy fall day and was shot through a light mist.

Nikon D600, Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 @110 mm, 1/400 @2.8, ISO 100, processed in Lightroom 4.

Beautiful mixture of colors and textures, like patchwork quilt. On my monitor I get the feeling there is a fairly strong blue cast to this because there are many shrubs that appear quite strongly blue - and I don't know of any blue shrubs. Also, the evergreen trees have a bluish cast to them. You mention it was an overcast day so you may be getting the cast from that. Perhaps a bit oversaturated too. Other than the color issues you have a really lovely image that invites me to stroll along that path.

Great palette of colors, textures and lines. Your choice of composition is excellent and it showcases the elements to their best advantage. Excellent!

I like abstract, intimate landscapes like this Russ. Color looks OK to me especially for an abstract scene like this.

Really nice abstract scene here, Russ. I'm on an uncalibrated monitor and won't speak to the color issues mentioned. I do really like the composition, with the trees placed at just the right spot. I really would like to get on that trail and meander through this scene in person. Nice work!
