This is a small scene I saw across a local lake here in Colorado. Up in the mountains the colors were almost gone, but down near the foothills, small packages of colors were begging to be photographed. I liked how the muted light hit the strands of grass that were already nicely blowing in the wind.

Behind this, and also about two hundred feet to the left of this scene are two major roads. I was kind of surprised to see such a site, and am glad I came home with a small piece of the beauty. Russ---you should visit some (or all) of the natural areas up in Fort Collins. Many similar scenes like this are hidden among them. Try Riverbend Ponds, Arapaho Bend, Running Deer and others.
Youssef--- I totally agree. Sometimes there is so much to enjoy in a simple scene! Creation is just loaded with gems for us to find...

Great to see a post from you. This is GORGEOUS! The light is sweet, the color and saturation, just right. Excellent job crafting this, just filling the frame with light and color. Oh, the reflection ain't bad either.

I was reading Youseff's comments. It's funny, I wouldn't ask those questions! Nor would he, or any of the rest of us here, I don't think. I guess that's why we do what we do, huh? I can see how other folks might think those thoughts. Heck, my own wife still asks me how come I'm pointing my camera at that?
I love the color in the grasses and cattails. The comp is nicely put together as well.
