Couldn't resist this colorful scene of the West River in Sheet Harbor, NS. Taken with Canon 5D, 24-105 IS lens.

Nice image, Great scene and colors but it is lacking a certain "umpf". Perhaps returning when you have some more interesting clouds? Well done overall.

I like the color and the composition of the scene. The only suggestion I would have is to crop the top down close to the top of the trees.

Great color and a nice comp to show it off so well.

Wow, nice colourful scene! I agree that cropping some of the sky out would improve the image. My personal preference in this case would have been to use a longer shutter speed to smooth out the water in an attempt to simplify the scene just a little. Overall, nice image!

Beautiful colors. I like the way the river winds up through the bushes. Nice comp and somber fall mood

Patricia, What a beautiful scene! You captured a wonderful mood with these conditions. Although I'm fine with longer exposures with water I really like what you did here with a faster shutter. It feels like I'm right there looking at this and I enjoy the feel. I also appreciate the natural look of the colors. The sky looks ok to me but I also agree that a small crop off the top works well. Nice work!

Patricia,

Those are some great reds! Very colorful. I gotta go with the others and agree about a slight crop from the top. In addition, you might consider cropping up from the bottom. At least for me, the wash of water in the LLC drags the eye there keeping me from enjoying the rest of the river scene. Also a case where I think a longer shutter speed to allow some of that white water to streak would work too, but that's minor.

Sheet Harbor, NS. Is that Nova Scotia? I'd love to see that too. I go there every five years or so. But it's always in the middle of the summer. Anyway, I like the reds, especially the density of color in this scene.
