Hypnotized

I spent yesterday exploring lower antelope canyon finally, having the entire place basically to myself. I got plenty of images to share, but I figured I would start here. The colors in this little section were amazing, and there was a glow on that lower right wall that was just ridiculous. Anyways, this is a blend of two images for dynamic range. Comments and critiques appreciated.

Canon 17-40mm @17mm

Wow. I have the feeling that this was made by the flow of water and/or wind. With the 17 mm, you achieved a nice DoF for this. Incredible dynamic range probably simulating what the eye might have which is a great use of this technique. It engages the imaination seeing maybe a dream-like eye and other things, and also in terms of the history of our planet.

Can''t wait to see others in your series.

Your blend looks very good, and I really like the color palette with the wide range of pinks. Nice comp utilizing the lines as well. Beautiful image.

Thanks everyone, Stan, this wasn't anything ground breaking, I found it difficult to grab something different. I did manage a few comps I've never seen before. If it "almost" makes you want to go back, I had the place all to myself, and that doesn't happen often. Now would be a good time to avoid the crowds especially on a weekday or in my case a sunday. Just as I left a group of about 30 showed up.

Peter,

Hard not to resist or love these slot canyon images. this one is outstanding! Great job with the light and processing. The color/sat is vibrant but not over done, which I think is often easily done with these. Excellent job all the way around.

Really stunning Peter most blended exposures look like it to me but this one really rings true. Love it and I concur the saturation looks real and subtle.

Love it.

Thanks everyone! Lon, surprisingly I didn't touch the saturation sliders on this or any of them that I processed. All basic curves and contrast adjustments. It is easy to go overboard in that respect, but I held my own I think.
