Lake Of The Clouds
by Nick Bristol
I have shot this scene several times over the last few years and I always look forward to seeing it again at sunrise. Lake of the Clouds is on the western edge of Upper MI along Lake Superior and in the Porcupine Mountains. This is an early Sept shot before the colors really started to turn. Always a wonderful place to watch the sunrise for me and see what happens.

Wonderful image and grand vista. The landscape is slightly dark, but of course the time of day and light kinda dictate that - plus it all shows much better in the larger version.
The only suggestion I have would be to clone out a few little white things in the LR quadrant; one in the lake, the other in the very far LRC.
Otherwise, great image.

Lon, I see the spots you mentioned and what they are is some highlighted area of the river as it flows out of the lake towards Lake Superior. They are much easier to see in the large version where you might be able to tell what they are, but I can also see where they could be a little distracting and cloning them out might be the way to go. I do see a little bright speck in the lower lake too that I should clone out. As always, thanks much!

ps...maybe I will run into you at Lake of the Clouds one day!
