Water-works by Royal Bengal Tiger.
An off-beat Tiger shot, one of my favourites. It is very difficult to get a different kind of frame, specially, when subject is much photographed Tiger.
Canon 7D; 500mm; ISO 200.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views!

Dear Sir ,

Stunning ACTION ! Shot . :toast:

Really loved the Water spray covering the entire frame.
I absolutely agree with you on how difficult it is to capture these kind of rare moments of this elusive cat in India . I can imagine the pure thrill of this moment .

Tigers through your lens has always been a real treat to eyes .

Thanks for sharing.

Rare capture, nicely done. I like the over all gold color scheme. The amount of water splashed into the air obscures the face just a little beyond the optimal, but I'm splitting hairs now. Good job getting him positioned perfectly in the frame and stopping the action. :toast:

Great action shot! The back lighting and the water splash obscure the tiger somewhat, but that is my only nit, and a small one at that. The action is the main thrust of the image, and it is super!

Nice title! This is an eye catching action photo Jagdeep The light direction (with the face being shaded and the back in the light) was not in your favour, but with action shots like these you take what you get and you did that very well. I might try to recover some more detail in the shadows though.

Hi Jagdeep,

For me this is one is simply about visual impact (which it has a massive amount of) and less about traditional concerns like shadow detail and the like. I think it's critical to keep in the ripples/wave on the right side like you have (so I'm NOT about to suggest losing it in a crop), but I would also like to see (proportionally) a little more space to the left of the tiger. If you do have more space to work with, I'd suggest adding a bit on the left - if that appears too "pano-ish" for your liking perhaps an extra sliver on top would help?

Very striking - like it very much.

Cheers...

Great action freeze, Jagdeep! But, would agree about the spray being too strong and obscuring the tiger.

Thanks friends!
Brad, I do have more space around the tiger (this is about 80% of the frame), but the outer area lacks the concentration of spray, as a result, I opted for this composition.

Jagdeep, my input would have been almost exactly as Brad suggested. Terrific experience to have your camera ready for this moment.

After looking at the beautiful cats in your gallery, I really like the direction you went with this. This is one of those photographs that requires you stop and look. Well done
