Great view and detail of this Hummingbird Richard. Love the bent perch and the gradient BG. My only nit would be the OOF stem under the bird, easily cloned if so desired.

Not the prettiest of hummingbirds, are they?

The large version shows great detail and sharpness. On my monitor, I see some purple fringing (CA) around the beak.

The bird stands out so well, the OOF twigs don't bother me . Well done!

A simple and sweet portrait Richard. Great pose, I like the slightly fluffed head feathers. Nice details.

The bird looks great, Rich. I'd never have guessed the crop and hardly notice the OOF stem. BTW, I agree with what you said on your blog about preferring this image over the one where some of the gorget colors are showing

Always nice to find a perched hummer that will stay long enough for a good shot. I like the head turn, eye contact and overall composition, well done Rich.

Very good details and natural color Rich. Like the graduated blue of your BG as well.
