Plant oils of the Southwest in a more abstract light.
Focal blend of 9 images... to get the optimal reflected light the macro lens was tilted at a strong angle, therefore requiring a large focal blend.

Justin,
Terrific natural abstract! The metallic sheen is wonderful, as is the natural coloration. My first thought was why the H would someone need a 9-image focus stack for essentially a flat surface? So, thanks for the explanation - you basically just emulated a large format camera! Excellent job with the technique and processing.
Just an off the wall thought. What do you think a horizontal (rotate 90deg cw) would look like? With this kind of abstract it really doesn't matter one way or another, just thinking it might look pretty good rotated. Just a whimsical thought. Regardless, this came out beautifully.

Love abstracts like this. Great color and a sense of mystery. Your blend worked well here.

Electric! A great looking abstract, Justin. I wish I could see this as a large print because I just don't think we can get the whole effect here. But...even here it looks fantastic!

Cool shot, Justin. Your effort paid off. I bet it does look much better large.
