Not to get too much mileage out of a subject but I wanted to offer an alternate shot for your opinions. Some suggestions have been made, both here and other places about the distraction of the leaves at the bottom of the image. This is a different shot with a little different BG color (a different day) but this shot gave me better opportunity to do some "housekeeping". I'd be pleased to know your opinions.

Focal Length: 190mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/160
ISO: 400

The vertical image emphasizes the height of the plant, this emphasizes the details. The background color is better on this image because it highlights the subject.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful plant, Tim. I like this version better than the previous.
Take care.

I like the subject as presented. A whimsical flare to the plant which you've shown well. DOF is perfect. Well done.

I have no problems with this as is. Good comp and treatment of a plant I have never seen (except the fruit in grocery stores). The creamy BG really sets this plant off. The plant sits comfortably in the square format, and I like the black border for this.

Tim: I like this tighter crop and view. Very nicely composed and captured. >=))>
