Another Dall ram shot against sheer rocks spotted with orange lichen - still no luck with great butting-head shots, but the rut isn't over yet...

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nice capture. The horns show up well against the background.

This is a great study in texture, the fur, the horns, and the rock. The colorful lichen also adds a nice pop to the image. You captured a great pose as well.

Another Majestic Beauty Guy  Nice looking ram in a super cool environment. Perhaps a little tight on the bottom? Good luck with the head butting image you're want. I'm sure your persistence will pay off.

Keep up the great work!

Great setting n beautiful frame!
I may prefer some more room in front and below the Ram.

Wonderful setting and a stunning Ram. A little more eye contact or catchlight would be nice, but still well done. The saturation on the lichen particularly seems a bit high on my monitor. I know that colors can look rather saturated under low light and if the rocks are wet, not sure what your shooting conditions were like.

Once again, great detail on the fur, and I like the raised right leg and the way he is looking down. The rich lichen colours are a bonus!

Excellent. I would agree with a little room right and bottom if possible. The terrific head tilt, as if showing of the size (& wonderful texture) of those horns makes the photo! Good one.

Thanks for the comments everyone - I agree that the shot is a bit tight on the bottom and right, I'll have to adjust for that.

I really like this picture! I love bighorns! I've never gotten to see a Dall sheep yet. I like the grey rocks with all the orange around him and how he is looking where he is stepping. His horns look awesome!
