The second in the series was taken with both lights turned down about 1/4. Thanks for the advice on the first, I didn't think about on-line framing. Let me know what you think of this post. Thanks.

Bob: Most excellent! I like your comp and lighting/exposure especially. The bud at the end of the stem is a real nice plus element IMO. With regard to the framing, this is a bit heavy for my taste since this is a high key image and the dark frame creates a lot of contrast. Of course this is really making a mountain out of a molehill because the image itself is excellent and the frame is really peripheral but this is my 1¢ suggestion. >=))>

Hey Bob, now this image I really like. The inclusion of the stem and the bud anchor it for me, and the high-key aspect is more subtle, which I find very appealing. Great image. As for the border, I do like Bill"s suggestion, it really compliments the image very well.

Robert,

I like Bill's frame and I also like the brighter exposure in the first image. I think this is a better exposure technically but the overall image doesn't have the same impact and appeal for me.

Beautiful orchid - nice detail and great colours. I agree the heavy dark frame is out of context with the delicate blooms - bill's thin color-coded frame works better, IMO.
A fine image!

I like this better than the black BG one, but not the online framing. Perhaps another color, or a thinner photo frame. The orchid on the left feels a little soft.

A soft and lovely version. Excellent light and color and the comp works well, too. I like the border.
