Mom and Daughter
by Peter Cross
From the monarch of yesterday to those that make it all possible, the doe and her daughter. I caught these 2 before I met up with the buck and enjoyed the interplay between the two. Just before this the doe had been doing some grooming of the fawn by licking on her side. The fawn looked like it thoroughly enjoyed it as it closed it's eyes and pointed it's head almost straight up. Just like it was getting a very pleasant sensation which I'm sure it was. Something here had caught their attention as they are looking intently to my left. Perhaps another deer in the distance. Nevertheless, I thought this was a nice image and technically of better quality than yesterday's. While it was darker here and just as foggy (hence the slow SS), this is full frame so I don't have to crop. I think it held up better because of that. I'd like to know what you think. Comments and critques appreciated.
