Fall in the Buttermilks

More fall color from the Eastern Sierra, this time in Buttermilk Country. I used a longer lens here to try to pull the mountains a little closer to the rabbitbrush.
Thanks and comments welcome.

Beautiful scene, Rudy. You have been killing lately with your posts. Great colors, contrast and the snowcapped peaks are sweet.

This one is really nice, Rudy. The subtle yet warm light really makes this one sing. I like the seasonal contrast as well with the fresh fallen snow against the backdrop of the autumn color in the vegetation.

Nice! Love the warm color of the rabbit brush against the cold snowy bg. I also like the way the light fades left along the slopes. Great sky, too.

Sort of like Youssef's image with a warm vs. cold component. Much larger scale here, though. Very nicely composed and exposed.

Nice light Rudy, everything stands out in bold relief. The large version puts me there!

Your decision to compress the FG and Mountains works very Well Rudy. Nice and sharp throughout, beautiful color and light. Nicely done.

I like the scene very much. Some appealing combination of elements like the clouds and the fresh snow on the ridge. The light is pretty good too. Nice work!

Rudy,

Yet another outstanding Eastern Sierra image of light, color and a well balanced composition. this is fantastic! Perfect balance between the rabbitbrush foreground, the snow covered Sierra and a great sky. No nits or suggestions. :toast: :toast:

This is great...classic eastern Sierras scene. I think the choice of focal length and composition work perfectly. Processing also looks excellent. I haven't read through the other critiques, but my only suggestion for potential improvement would be to look at a very small crop off the RHS. Feels like there's just a bit too much space between the rabbitbrush and the edge of the frame there.
