Here is another one from the butterfly tent. This was taken about a year and a half ago on my first visit there.

Canon Xti, 70-300 IS lens @ 135mm, f/8, 1/640 sec., ISO400

Beautiful shot, Barb. I really like the lighting in this--that flower is quite dazzling! I'm afraid the flower steals the show from the butterfly but the butterfly adds a lot to the flower. I like the artistic curve of the butterfly wings. Do wish the foreground wing was sharper but this is minor. Overall a very pleasing image to view.

Very pretty - the colours go well together. The flower seems a bit bright, and thus dominating. I'd suggest dampening it a bit so the butterfly also gets it's due attention.
Very fine image!

Wow! Nice lighting & a great range of DOF while still managing to keep the BG simple!

This is a real beauty, Barb. I like the spotlighting on the flower and BF, and the way they stand out from the dark bg. Super image. :toast:

Beautiful shot with the flower as the star and the butterfly as the co-star. The combination tells a great story. I do think that some of the flower petals are blown, that a slight burning in on the flower would fix. It could also be interesting to lightly dodge the antennae so it's easier to see.

Hi Barb :wavey: A very fine and thought provoking compositiion  the flower sees to be sprinkled with bright light, while the BF is reposing in the cooler confines of the shade, very nice! :jump:

Striking image with the dazzling white flower that pops against the black Barb.
Nice detail throughout, with the Julia b-fly complimenting your main subject nicely :wavey:
Well done!
