Milkweed against the sky

Another milkweed shot from my fall outing. For this I got down low and put the clear blue sky in the background. I realize it is quite bright--is it too bright? I did not saturate the colors. If anything, I had to tone things down; the sky was quite blue!

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/7.1 for 1/250 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Good idea to frame this milkweed against the deep blue sky. Blue and white are always a great combination and, here, the blue provides a superb bg for the white milkweed fibers. Excellent detail as well, Carolyn.

Beautiful colors and details, Carolyn! I don't think it's too bright. I especially like how well the fine fibers show up against the blue bg.

I don't think it is too bright at all! Milkweed seeds always look like people in white gowns to me...so here it looks like a precarious situation! :)

This is real eye candy! I'd say the brightness of the silk is perfect and the blue sky background is stunning in contrast.
