Canada geese coming in to the pond for the night. Taken in early December, I cropped to a pano to remove the darkest areas of sky at the top and some man made objects at the bottom.

D90
18-200mm
ISO 800
200mm
1/500 @ f/5.6
HH

Thanks for looking.

Very nice John. I do like this type of image, and this one is done very well. I do wish there was a bit more on the bottom, but understand keeping man made objects out. Thanks for sharing.

great colors and I like the position of the geese. I too wish there was a bit more bottom to show where the birds are headed. Nice overall feeling to this shot.

Great picture!. I love the colors and the birds flying. I also like your choice of cropping it as a pano.
Thanks
Joana

Very nice colors and good capture of the geese in landing mode. I also wish for space for them to land in, but understand the problems. I'm torn between wishing for the birds to be larger and losing that glorious sunset.

Love the sunset scene and the birds. I agree with others about showing a bit more of the bottom part. Nicely done !

this one is an "almost" for me, John. I love the colors and textures in the sky, the geese, the setting, but like others I feel the need for grounding the image with more horizon at the bottom (and more room for those lower geese to land in). could you revisit the scene and line up an angle that allows for vegetation all along the bottom?

I love the mood of this shot, and not seeing where they are landing just adds mystery for me. Well done!
