Winter Reflections

A winter shot I took along a riverbed to get the reflection in the water.

Canon 5D MKII, Ef70-200L IS II@70mm, 1/100, f/5.6, iso400, AP, eval metering, handheld, cropped for composition, converted to black and white in CS6.
C&C welcome

I think this was a nice image for b+w conversion. I like the reflection and it certainly depicts a winter scene. I am having a bit of a tough time with the tight crop,,,just my taste anyway...TFS

I have to admit that I've never been much of a fan of vertical panoramic images. But if there was ever a subject that called for one you definitely found it. I like the B&W conversion with the wide tonal range. In this case the framing works effectively to isolate the subject and create some nice symmetry.

David,

Love the tight crop and presentation here. It really accentuates the symmetry. Nice light balance between the reflection and reality. Great job with this one.

Killer shot, the reflection almost looks like a negative of the scene and holds my interest that much longer.
