Sense of Scale

Gruinard Bay, Laide, Scotland

Large scale abstract of Gruinard Bay at low tide. The turquoise waters and sand patterns were absolutely breathtaking. It could be somewhere in the Caribbean...... except for the cold, stiff wind. The four people add a sense of scale to the place. Taken on a 1:2:1 with Ian Cameron.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L at 200mm
ISO100 1/13sec f/16

Thanks for having a look.

An exceptional image, Eva. The subtle colors and detail of the distant people is just wonderful.

I would suggest viewing the large view, especially. Splendid.

Eva, I really love this one a lot. The subtle colors and the people in the distant make this one for me. Good use of lines.

Lovely color palette here, and the scale added by the people makes the shot. This shows just how much there is to explore in this one area.

Gorgeous sand color and abstract feel. I might have place the people a bit more in the frame. The top folks feel a bit too out of the scene, but maybe there was a reason for cropping off the top as you did. Unique seascape. :toast:

Eva: Just snooping through the staff gallery and came across this. What a wonderful scene and the people giving it scale are the perfect complementary element. Many kudos. >=))>
