Tried out the hide again in overcast conditions, but the light while muted wasn't too bad. I think this is my favorite female eastern bluebird of the season.

Beautiful detail and head turn, James. Overcast or filtered light can really work well for bright birds.

The light is an asset in this image.

soft or muted light is underrated, and I think it works well here. I'd prefer moving the bird a bit further left in the frame, it's rather centered as is.

I like the detail in the larger version. The low light conditions did not hurt the color scheme at all. A nice full frame shot that could be cropped vertical as well but fine this way also, way to go.

Lightly overcast days are my favorite - I mess up fewer expsosure!
Nice light here, and a nice pose and colours. Agree to move bird to left so it is not centered -

Very nice as is, I really like the head turn, eye contact and the colors. I kind of think this one might work even better as a vertical.
