Winter Chaos

Today afternoon in Danube Floodplains, Lower Austria. The freshly fallen snow accentuated the filigree textures in an appealing way to me and allowed to figure out some structure within the rather chaotic scene.

Peter, I'm not really sure about this one. It sure has an abstract appeal and I kind of like that. But still it's a bit too chaotic for me. I like the larger version more so maybe you have to see it large to fully appreciate this one.

Really like the subtle earthy color's within the fine coating of snow, i'm very use to seeing scenes like this in the wooded areas around me, very difficult to compose, or try to make sense of, In my opinion you did a beautiful job with this Peter, like it very much, I think you accomplished what you were looking for.

There is a lot of chaos here, but the snow brings it together. The brown colored vines to the left give a point of focus. Nice image.

Peter, I really think the larger view is a must here. It sorts it out and allows the viewer to see patterns more clearly and also the subtle colors. Good job! Chet

I love this Peter. Chaos yes, but ordered chaos. This is the kind of image I can just sit and stare at for a long time.

I was thinking along the same lines as Richard. Quite a bit of chaos, but the snow seems to bond it all together. It accentuates the mass and lines.

Peter, I too think the snow brings this together very nicely. It also works really nice in the larger version. There is a flowing feel here that is really quite enjoyable to look at. I'm with Bill and can stare at this and study it for quite awhile. I think you did an excellent job with this. I like it very much!

Peter,
I think you could level adjust this shot a little more. Seems dark.....and chaotic :argue:

The rich browns and dark trunks play nicely off of the brightness of the snow, Very nice.
